Viva El Fives

22/04/21: A brand new Fives court is now halfway through being built in Oxoaca, Mexico, thanks to Old Zuozer Emiliano Ruiz Ayala.

Eton Fives has always been rather under-represented in the Americas: there was a court in Buenos Aires for a while, which is sadly no longer there and the Terravista Golf Club in Bahia, Brazil acquired a court in 2008.

Both of these were constructed by enthusiasts who had learned the game at the Lyceum Alpinum in Zuoz and this tradition is being maintained by Emiliano, who was in the school Fives team a couple of years ago before returning to Mexico.

The next phase of construction will see the installation of a buttress and hopefully it won't be too long before the first ever game of Eton Fives on Mexican soil takes place.
