2015 Kinnaird Cup

The 2015 Kinnaird Cup weekend saw nearly 50 pairs take part in a range of competitions, festivals and plates. 28 pairs entered the main competition, the blue riband event in the Eton Fives calendar. While this is by no means a disappointing number, it is a shame that more Fives players don't consider entering; not only is it an opportunity to take part in the sport's most prestigious competition, the format means that as well getting the chance to share a court with the top players, a whole range of matches is guaranteed across the weekend against a wide variety of pairs of all ages and abilities.

Kinnaird Cup Semi-Finals 2015: Business as Usual

09/03/15: There were no shocks in yesterday's Kinnaird Cup semi-finals at Eton as the top seeds both won convincingly to move into the final, which will therefore be a repeat of last year's match as well as this year's London and Northern finals.

Mixed 2015: Cambridge Complete Universities Clean Sweep

16/02/15: Having done the double in the mens and ladies universities tournaments back in October, Cambridge completed a clean sweep of this season's university competitions as Riki Houlden and Elana Osen came from behind to defeat James Tugwell and Harriet Asquith of UCL in a thrilling final at the mixed pairs tournament at Highgate yesterday.

Feb 2015: Barker & Houlden, Bracken & Reimer Take the U21 Honours

09/02/15: Now into its sixth edition, the Under 21 tournament has established itself as an important part of the Fives calendar and the 2015 version at Eton yesterday fulfilled its brief in great style, bringing the best school players together with recent leavers and University pairs to produce some excellent matches and provide a terrific day's Fives for all concerned.

03/03/15: On a fine day at Eton last Saturday and marking the end of a long tenure as Master-in-charge there by Mark Williams, four teams contested the 2015 Varsity Match with the Light Blues winning the first team matches and the Dark Blues showing their strength in depth by winning both second team matches.

Feb 2015: Wallball takes off at Streatham & Clapham High School

Thanks to an initiative set in motion by EFA Chairman Richard Black, Wallball is being introduced to the girls of Streatham & Clapham High School as part of their PE programme. As the result of an introductory meeting at GDST headquarters in London attended by two schools, the Head of PE at Streatham & Clapham High decided it would be a good game for hand-eye coordination and general fitness which the girls would enjoy.
