13/02/17: The 2017 Under 21 tournament produced a thrilling day of Fives in arctic conditions at Eton yesterday. Highgate's Phoebe Bracken and Amira Reimer dominated the ladies competition once again to record their third successive victory at this level with a win over fellow Highgate School pair Marjolaine Briscoe and Viva Ruggi in the final. The men's tournament produced three classic matches in the knockout stages as Oxford University's Will Ponsonby and Tom Kirkby held their nerve to take the title.

Under 21s: All The Young Dudes

01/02/16: The 2016 Under 21 tournament took place at Eton yesterday and was an absolute cracker, with heroes everywhere. The star man of the men's tournament was James Piggot along with his Dark Blue partner James Cobb who responded well under pressure to beat Cambridge opponents Riki Houlden and Alistair Stewart in an absorbing final, having them dancing in the street in Oxford until late into the night. The ladies tournament featured a wide range of players from the experienced Highgate girls down to some promising youngsters and even absolute beginners from Shrewsbury and Oxford. There were no changes at the top of the order, though, with a repeat of last year's result in another all-Highgate final, Phoebe Bracken and Amira Reimer beating Marjolaine Briscoe and Carolina Valensise.

09/02/15: Now into its sixth edition, the Under 21 tournament has established itself as an important part of the Fives calendar and the 2015 version at Eton yesterday fulfilled its brief in great style, bringing the best school players together with recent leavers and University pairs to produce some excellent matches and provide a terrific day's Fives for all concerned.

2013 Under 21 Tournament: Wilson and Abbott Double Up

The 2013 EFA Under 21 Championships took place at Eton at the weekend. The size of the draw was slightly disappointing but was more than made up for by the quality of the pairs taking part, with many of the top school and University pairs battling it out. The men's tournament was won by Cambridge University pair Robert Wilson and Jamie Abbott, who beat Highgate's Charlie Noble and Joe Berriman in the final to claim their second trophy of the season, after their win in the Universities tournament back in October. The ladies event was dominated by Highgate School and was won for the second year in a row by Eve Smith-Bingham and Aimee Paul who came from behind to beat Amira Reimer and Phoebe Bracken in an exciting final.

2010/11 Under 21s: Mantle and Cutmore-Scott win all Oxford final

The Under 21s Ladies Championships at Eton produced an increased entry compared to last year's competition, but suffered slightly from clashes with half-term at Highgate and the unavailability of pairs from a couple of other key schools. What was a little lacking in quantity was more than made up for in quality, however, as six pairs battled it out to become the second ever winners of this competition, following on from Emily Scoones and Natalie Lilienthal's win in the inaugural 2010 event.
