EFA Chairman Takes To The Skies

05/11/19: I recently had the exhilarating opportunity to do a sky dive.

Not only was it great fun (CLICK HERE to see how I got on) but it allowed me to jump in the name of Robbie's Rehab, a Charity founded by a boy at Edgeborough, where I was the head to 2017.

When Robbie was 6, he lost his mother, Kate, to breast cancer. He decided then to become a doctor. Possessed of a good mind, there was no doubt that Robbie had the ability to realise his ambition one day. However, aged 8, he himself was diagnosed with cancer – a malignant brain tumour. Despite the best efforts of wonderful medical staff, he died aged 10 in February 2016.

During his life, Robbie made a great many friends and admirers. Our charity was his idea. He named it, thought of the original fundraising event (the inaugural ‘Robbie’s Rally‘ on Valentine’s Day 2015) and was ambitious for its success.

I hope that members will not mind me using the pages of the EFA website to mention this but I am sure you will all realise the impact that such a series of events has on a family, a school and a community and understand my ambition to continue to support it however I can.
