150 Years of Fives at Uppingham

15/11/16: Nearly 100 OUs and partners gathered in Uppingham on Saturday 12th November to celebrate 150 years of Eton Fives at the School. The game was introduced to Uppingham by the great Victorian Headmaster Edward Thring.

Fives Stars: Five in a Row for Highgate at the Black Cup

14/11/16: Highgate completed a nap hand of successive wins in the Richard Black Cup at Eton yesterady, defeating perennial rivals North Oxford in the final of a competition which featured a record-breaking 10 teams and over 60 players, providing a terrific showcase for the ever-improving standard and numbers of players in the ladies game.

Hoskins and Wagland end the OI Trophy Drought

11/10/16: The Old Ipswichian Fives Club trophy cabinet has lain empty for some time. This year being the 50th Anniversary of the club, it was decided we must win a tournament. A simple (and probably the only) solution was found by holding a tournament solely for OIs. A chance for youth to shine, established stars to peacock, old stars to get the gloves out.

2016 Universities Tournament: Double Delight for the Dark Blues

24/10/16: The 2016 Jesters Universities Tournament took place at Eton on Saturday and was another hugely successful day of Fives. 26 pairs from 13 different universities took part - Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL, King's, Royal Holloway, Bristol, Nottingham, Swansea, Exeter, Durham and Surrey - with regular players rubbing shoulders with beginners, those having their annual outing and those playing for the first time since leaving school.

Richard Barber Cup: Six of the Best for St.Olave's

10/10/16: St.Olave's won the Richard Barber Cup - the three pair competition for schools with each pair featuring one former and one current pupil - at Eton over the weekend, defeating teams from Highgate, Eton and Cranleigh to retain the crown for the sixth successive year.
