EFA Dinner 2014: A Knight of Nights

The EFA End of Season Dinner and Awards Presentation took place at Emanuel School on Saturday night and was a fantastic evening. Read on to find out who picked up the champagne and the 2013/14 gongs...

There was also a special presentation of a leather bound and inscribed copy of "The History of Eton Fives" to Marian and Jonathan Knowles, in memory of Peter Knowles, who sadly died earlier this year.

There was also a large enough contingent present of those who have experience of the Ipswich Tournament to ensure that the evening ended - as all good Fives dinners should - with an impromptu bare handed match on the Emanuel courts. The results were not recorded for posterity, although it should be noted that not a single injury was sustained whilst playing even with Harriet Asquith on court. The steps getting round the cricket pitch from dining hall to courts were a different matter, however.
