North Oxford at the Treble Dec 2012

A grand total of 17 North Oxford players and 3 spectators took on the Fives equivalent of the Three Peaks Challenge on Sunday, playing Rugby Fives at Rugby, Eton Fives at Eton and Winchester Fives at Winchester all in the same day.

2012/13 Alan Barber Cup: All Betts are off

The final Barber Cup first round matches were completed at the weekend and the quarter-final line-up is now decided. The make-up of the top half of the draw was already known with the Wulfrunians taking on the Carthusians and the Ipswichians the latest club to attempt some giant-killing against top seed the Olavians.

Olavians and Harrovians into the 2013 Alan Barber Cup Final

The Alan Barber Cup semi-finals took place at Eton yesterday and saw the Olavians make it into yet another final with a 2-1 win over the Old Wulfrunians, who were in their first semi-final since 1992.

The 2012 Richard Black Cup was claimed in fine style at Eton yesterday by Highgate School who overcame a strong field of seven teams in the biggest and best Black Cup in the competition's short history, beating the EFA representative team 3-0 in the final.

Nov 2012: Nothing Amis(s) as Campbell and Dunbar dominate London Field

2012 has been a spectacular year of sport in London and with the Olympic and Paralympic warm-up acts out of the way, all eyes turned to Highgate as the climax of the capital's sporting year was played out over the course of the weekend in the 2012 London Tournament. One of the most open competitions in years produced some fantastic matches with the winners the new partnership of George Campbell - with his first "major" win - and former Kinnaird champion Pete Dunbar, making a triumphant return from his Middle Eastern exile.

Midlands Tournament 2012: O'Neill and Theodossi rule at Repton

‎40 pairs took part in the 2012 Midland Tournament at Repton over the weekend, an event that is always one of the highlights of the Fives calendar. Uberveteran Nigel Cox narrowly failed in his attempt to make a second final in this competition, 42 years after his first, as he and Seb Cooley were beaten at the semi-final stage by Old Westminsters Ed Rose and Laurie Brock. Ed and Laurie then went on to lose narrowly in a terrific final to Berkhamsted coach/old boy pair Anthony Theodossi and Jeremy O'Neill, Ant winning the title for the second time in three years.

2012/13 Turnbull Trophy: Olave's and Berkhamsted into the Final

Last Sunday 20 pairs from St Olave's Grammar School, Wolverhampton GS, Berkhamsted, Emanuel School, City of London School, King Edward's School and Westminster School took part in the prestigous Graham Turnbull Trophy. This competition is where school pupils partner up with either players from their Old Boys club or their School Fives coach, and compete against other similar pairs.

2012 Jesters Universities Tournament: Blue is the Colour

The 2012 Jesters University Tournament took place at Eton on Saturday with a total of 28 pairs taking part representing 17 different Universities - Oxford, Cambridge, Oxford Brookes, Imperial, UCL, King's, Queen Mary London, Bristol, York, Warwick, Manchester, Exeter, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, City and Nottingham Trent (Kaplan Law School).
