Eight Years Of Success: Advanta And The EFA Conclude Headline Sponsorship Partnership
19/06/26: The Eton Fives Association and Advanta Wealth have jointly announced that, following eight highly successful years, Advanta’s headline sponsorship of the Association has now come to a conclusion.
Since the partnership began in 2018, Advanta Wealth has played a major role in supporting the development and growth of Eton Fives across the UK. Through its sponsorship of the Advanta League, tournaments, annual awards and a wide range of development initiatives, together with additional support from across the Advanta Group, the partnership has helped the EFA strengthen the sport at every level.
The sponsorship has coincided with a period of significant progress for the game, including the delivery of the FiveStar development programme, investment in participation and research initiatives, the successful celebration of the EFA’s Centenary in 2024-25, and the establishment of World Fives Day as an annual celebration of the sport.
As Advanta has grown substantially over the course of the partnership, the business has reviewed its sponsorship and marketing activities and has decided that the time is right to conclude its role as the EFA’s headline sponsor.
Alex Knight, Chief Executive of the Eton Fives Association, said:
“On behalf of the EFA and the wider Eton Fives community, I would like to thank Craig Webster and everyone at Advanta for their remarkable support over the last eight years.
“The partnership has been transformational for the Association and has helped us deliver projects and initiatives that would simply not have been possible otherwise. Advanta’s commitment to the game has gone far beyond sponsorship alone, and we are enormously grateful for everything the company and its staff have done for Eton Fives.
“While this chapter is coming to an end, we are delighted that the strong relationship between Advanta and the EFA will continue, and we look forward to working together on future initiatives where opportunities arise.”
Craig Webster, CEO of Advanta Group, commented:
“When we first became involved with the EFA in 2018, Advanta was a very different business. Over the last eight years both organisations have evolved considerably, and we are proud of what the partnership has achieved.
“Eton Fives has been an important part of my life for many years and the friendships, values and community that surround the game remain hugely important to me. While Advanta’s commercial priorities have changed as the business has grown, we remain strong supporters of the sport and of the EFA.
“We have greatly enjoyed being part of the EFA’s journey over the last eight years and look forward to seeing the game continue to thrive in the years ahead.”
The EFA and Advanta will continue to collaborate on selected initiatives, including support through the Advanta Foundation for World Fives Day.
The EFA has now begun the process of identifying a new headline sponsor to support the next phase of the sport’s development and welcomes help from EFA members. Please direct any suggestions or referrals to
