Magnificent Seven: Advanta Extends EFA Sponsorship For A Seventh Year

John Inverdale To Speak At EFA Centenary Dinner At Lord's

16/09/24: Reaffirming its commitment to Eton Fives, Advanta Wealth is extending and enhancing its sponsorship of the Eton Fives Association into the EFA’s Centenary 2024-25 season.

In addition to its sponsorship of core activities like the Advanta League, tournaments and the EFA’s annual awards, this year Advanta Wealth is supporting the EFA’s Centenary Dinner in the Long Room at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 24th October.

Well-known sports broadcaster John Inverdale, who is closely connected with the Advanta Group, will be a guest speaker at the Centenary Dinner, which has already almost sold out.

Commenting on the fantastic news, EFA Director of Development Alex Knight said:

“The amazing support of Craig Webster and the team at Advanta over the last seven years has been invaluable, making a huge difference to the health and development of Eton Fives right across the UK. Through Advanta Wealth’s sponsorship, and donations through the Advanta Risk and Advanta Mortgages arms, the EFA has been able to fund research and activities that will enable Eton Fives to meet the challenges of the next century, and the EFA itself is an Advanta client and hugely benefits from its expertise. We look forward to celebrating the centenary of the EFA with Advanta and the Eton Fives community at the Centenary Dinner next month, and John Inverdale’s involvement will make the occasion even more of a night to remember.”

Craig Webster, CEO of Advanta Wealth, commented:

“Having played Eton Fives for 40 years and valuing the friendships both with my own alumni and equally like-minded, competitive individuals I have met over that time, Advanta is delighted to continue to support the game for a seventh year. We are particularly committed to widening the playing base at a grass root level and fostering the bonds the game creates. Looking forward to another 100 years of success!”

John Inverdale said:

“It’s easy sometimes to think that the recreational world revolves solely around football, but the Paris Olympics showed yet again how the greatest strength of sport is its variety and breadth. Eton Fives may be unlikely to ever make it into an Olympic programme, but it’s an integral part of the bio-diversity of our sporting landscape and I’m hugely looking forward to celebrating the anniversary at Lord’s”.
