World Fives Day 2026
04/03/26: Bring a Friend to Fives
World Fives Day (WFD) is a global celebration of the sport on and around 5th May each year (5/5 = Fives) and we want you to take part! Last year’s event involved over 40 locations around the world, and WFD 2026 will be even bigger!
This year the theme is Bring a Friend. Get your school or club involved by inviting your colleagues, Headteacher, classmates, neighbours, friends and family to have a go!
Free Stuff for You…
All Fives-playing schools and clubs are encouraged to arrange activities to get people on court for WFD26. These could be have-a-go taster sessions, practice periods, friendly knockabouts or competitive tournaments – the aim is simply to get as many people involved as possible. Activity organisers will receive a free branded cotton kit bag as well as branded sponge balls for participants.
Games and activities can take place at any time on Tuesday 5th May or during that week (4-10 May). Schools and players are encouraged to share photos and videos of their WFD26 activities on their socials and with the EFA. We would particularly like to see selfies of participants with their WFD26 merchandise and logo (like this photo from last year).
…Raise Money for Your School’s Charities
Why not use WFD26 to raise money for your own nominated charities? The EFA will give a golden fives ball to every individual that raises £100+ in sponsorship
And thanks to generous support from the Advanta Foundation, all sponsorship will be matched to support Fives outreach to children through the Eton Fives Charitable Trust.
