U13 Individual Tournament

Howard Wiseman reports:

13/10/26: Sunday's EFA U13 Individual Tournament was a fantastic day of Fives!

34 pupils from a number of schools took part including Ludgrove, Westway, Dulwich Comminity Fives Club ( with players from several different schools), St.Olave’s, Highgate and Ipswich.

As ever, the pupils were all mixed-in to play six one-set matches, always with a different partner and against a different pair. It was just fantastic to see pupils from a variety of schools enjoying sport together and making friends, rather than always having one school competing against another.

Four students reached the final having won all of their matches; one from each of Ipswich, Ludgrove, St.Olave’s & Dulwich (William Toop!). The Ludgrove/Ipswich pairing won the Final, whilst an Olavian pair won the third-place play-off against two boys from Ipswich.

A superb day with plenty of socialising amongst the players between matches and superb parental support.

Many thanks to Billy Bolton, the Head of Sport at Highgate school, for hosting this event, and indeed for sweeping all of the courts before our arrival.
