Eton Win The Hughes Cup

02/02/26: Eton won the Hughes Cup - the U15 three pairs schools' team competition - for the first time since 2019 yesterday.

Eight teams took to the courts at Eton yesterday, with Ipswich, Berkhamsted, Eton (x2), Shrwsbury (x2) and St.Olave's (x2) fighting it out in a day long round robin of matches played up to 12.

The first strings of Eton and Shrewsbury beat all of the other teams 3-0, with Eton winning the deciding match between the two top teams 2-1 (12-5, 12-4, 5-12) to take the trophy for the first time since 2019, a first team competition win at Eton for coach Ryan Perrie. St.Olave's first team finished third.
