WSSL 2017: All Set For Final Week Showdown

09/01/17: It's been another week of thrills and spills in the Westway Summer Superleague with just one more round of group games to go to decide the quarter-final line-up.

Tuesday night saw 2015 champions Lethal Bizzle from Highgate finish their Group B campaign with a convincing 5-1 win over the Westway Warriors to ensure their position at the top of the table; behind them it will be all to play for next week after a third successive 3-3 draw for the Lancing Lionhearts - this time against the Exiles - left all four teams still in contention going into the final round of matches.

The top of the table clash in Group A saw a 4-2 win for the Westway-based Coach & Horses team over the Aston House Thoroughbreds, ensuring them the other top seeded berth for the quarter-finals. As in Group B, the other qualifying positions are up for grabs, although the EFA Allstars are now out of contention. The Jesters were handed a lifeline after NotOS were forced to scratch their match on Tuesday and the NotOS match against the Thoroughbreds next Tuesday looks like it will be crucial in deciding the all important final positions, which will dictate who plays who in the last eight.
