Kinnaird Cup Final 2014: Dunbar and Cooley Pass Tough Test

T.Dunbar & S.Cooley (1) beat J.Toop & M.Wiseman (3) 3-0 (14-12, 12-4, 12-7)

Tom Dunbar and Seb Cooley continued their four year unbeaten streak yesterday, winning the Kinnaird Cup at Eton for the fourth year in succession with victory over challengers James Toop and Matthew Wiseman in a pulsating final.

April 2014: EFA League - North Oxford's Girl Power Clinches Division 2 "Threepeat"

North Oxford clinched the Division 2 title for a third successive year with a 2-1 win over the Old Citizens at Aldenham on Saturday. The story of the season has been the vital contribution of the North Oxford ladies, with 30% of the team's overall appearances coming from Karen Hird (8), Harriet Asquith (4), Izzy Watts (3), Mandie Barnes (2) and Charlotta Cooley (1). Karen, Harriet and Izzy all played in the title-winning victory and are looking forward to seeing how they get on next season as the Oxford outfit take on the big guns in Division 1 for the first time in their short history.

March 2014: Highgate edge out Summer Fields in the U12s

A remarkable 89 pairs from 11 schools entered the Under 12s competition in the Marsh Insurance National Schools' Championships, and after a busy day's Fives were reduced to just two pairs who will contest the final at a date to be rearranged.

April 2014: Cooleys have the Mixed in the Bag

The 2014 Mixed Tournament was won once again by Seb and Charlotta Cooley at Eton yesterday as the Olavian siblings proved to be head and shoulders above the rest of the field. 19 pairs took part in the tournament, which featured some new faces as well as plenty of old ones, lots of close games and a huge amount of fun and enjoyment.

March 2014: Berko Back with a Bang

Berkhamsted 1 have now officially regained the EFA League Division 1 title, finishing their successful campaign with a 2-1 win over nearest challengers the Old Harrovians this week. That win, their ninth in ten matches this season, gives them an unassailable lead at the top of the table to win back the title they won in 2012.

After their fine performance in the earlier rounds last week, Rydal reached their first National Fives final, and the neutrals eagerly anticipated a historic match as they took on Highgate for the U13 title. They were not disappointed and the final was one of those well matched sporting contests which swung several ways before the result was known.

March 2014: A Spring in Their Step at Shrewsbury

A beautiful sunny morning greeted the participants for the Spring Festival of Fives held on Sunday at Shrewsbury School. Sadly Rydal Penrhos and Wrekin College were unable to join us this time round, but there was still plenty of Fives for those that made it. Three competitions took place, with each pair playing one another in two sets, to provide some valuable competitive Fives in the run up to National Schools' Championships at the end of the month.
