E B Noel (1879-1928)

E B (Evan Baillie) Noel was involved in the foundation of the Eton Fives Association and was briefly Hon Secretary in 1924.

He was born in 1879 and educated at Winchester and Cambridge. He was a celebrated tennis and rackets player (winner of the Rackets Singles gold medal at the 1908 Olympics in London) and was co-author of "History of Tennis", first published in 1924. He was also sports editor of The Times and Secretary of Queen's Club.
