New Courts Discovered In India

Thanks to some sterling detective work by RFA colleagues David Barnes and Simon Stokes, the existence of two previously unknown Eton Fives courts has just come to light.

They are in the grounds of the Laxmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara, Gujurat, India, built in 1890 by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III and these days a luxury hotel, conference centre and wedding venue. The courts, which have an unusually shaped buttress top and look like they might be faced in marble, are on the edge of the attached golf course, in between the tennis courts and the cricket ground. If anyone has any further information, do let us know!
