Universities 2015: Oxford and Durham Take the Honours

24/10/15: The 2015 Jesters Universities Tournament took place at Eton on Saturday with a terrific turnout of 29 pairs from 17 different universities - Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Swansea, Cardiff, Durham, Liverpool, Loughborough, Leicester, Bath, QM, King's, LSE, UCL, Middlesex, Imperial and RVC.

Universities 2017: Oxford In Overdrive

27/10/17: For the second year in a row, Oxford University did the double at the Jesters Universities tournament, which took place at Eton last weekend. Dark Blues James Piggot and Tom Kirkby retained the men's title they won last year, while Georgia Allen and Marjolaine Briscoe won an all-Oxford women's final against Carolina Valensise and defending champion Rosie Parr.

Mixed 2015: Cambridge Complete Universities Clean Sweep

16/02/15: Having done the double in the mens and ladies universities tournaments back in October, Cambridge completed a clean sweep of this season's university competitions as Riki Houlden and Elana Osen came from behind to defeat James Tugwell and Harriet Asquith of UCL in a thrilling final at the mixed pairs tournament at Highgate yesterday.

Universities 2014: Cambridge at the Double

03/11/14: The 2014 Universities tournament threw up some impressive numbers this year: a record-equalling 34 pairs, 20 different Universities represented, over 120 individual games of Fives played, all 16 courts at Eton in use simultaneously and two wins out of two for Cambridge University, winners of both the men's and ladies tournaments for the first time since 2009.

2016 Universities Tournament: Double Delight for the Dark Blues

24/10/16: The 2016 Jesters Universities Tournament took place at Eton on Saturday and was another hugely successful day of Fives. 26 pairs from 13 different universities took part - Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL, King's, Royal Holloway, Bristol, Nottingham, Swansea, Exeter, Durham and Surrey - with regular players rubbing shoulders with beginners, those having their annual outing and those playing for the first time since leaving school.

2014 Jesters Universities Mixed: London Lay Down the Law

The Jesters Universities Mixed pairs tournament is a fairly recent addition to the Fives calendar, created in 2011 by Elli Hullis, and this, the fourth edition of the event, really saw it come of age. Twelve pairs from a wide range of Universities - Oxford, Cambridge, BPP, University of Law, Aberystwyth, Cardiff, Liverpool, UCL, Imperial, Nottingham and Warwick - made it to Highgate for an exciting and entertaining day of Fives, with a large number of tight and tense matches and a final win for London Law Schools' Alex Constantine and Karen Hird against Oxford's Jack Flowers and Alice Walker.

Universities Mixed 2016: Roses Are Red, Trophies Are Dark Blue

15/02/16: What better way to spend Valentine's Day than playing mixed Fives? None according to the pairs who made it to Highgate on Sunday for the 2016 edition of the Universities Mixed pairs tournament. There were representatives from Liverpool, Durham, UCL, City, Cambridge and four pairs from Oxford - a reflection of the strength in numbers of the Oxford club this year.
